Lead Pastor Search Committee

During our July 14th meeting, we finalized the agenda for Brett Connolly’s upcoming visit to Bismarck and Century Baptist Church on August 23rd. We also reviewed the congregational feedback from the recent Town Hall meeting and discussed the final plans for the promotional video being produced for our Search Profile.

Pastor Dave has already spent time with our committee, casting a clear vision regarding “the map”—a result of our comprehensive VCM Assessment. Last Sunday’s Town Hall on February 15th was led primarily by Pastor Dave, who shared this “map” with everyone in attendance. Thank you to those who joined us; we truly appreciate the great turnout.

Pastor Carl ran the first leg, but now he will hand off the baton to the next man, for what we hope is the anchor leg of this race. As Vaughn Rhodes talked about on Sunday morning, we may have already met this man. Vital Church Ministry has been very proactive in this transition, and in fact has introduced us to someone who we will all meet on January 4th.

Patience. Yes, it’s been over a year and a half since Pastor Paul Nather resigned as our LP, but this is not the time to rush, we promise we are moving forward.

In our last meeting, on Aug 12th, we discussed pending business and spent time in prayer. Our only communication, currently, is that CBC is now in a time of unpacking the information from Vital Church’s Assessment, as well as processing their recommendations to our Elders and staff.
