I have read and understood the following statement:
Baptism is a public demonstration of one’s commitment and desire to follow Jesus as the Lord of their life. It is our desire for all believers in Jesus as their Savior to take this step of obedience by following Jesus’ example of being baptized. Baptism does not save a person; it has no saving power; rather, it is a declaration of faith by the one who has trusted in Jesus to save him from his sins.
