Greetings to our Century family from your Lead Pastor Search Committee,
Since our last update in December, we have seen several changes here at CBC. As many of you know, Pastor Carl returned home to care for his wife, Vicki, and her health. Consequently, we have transitioned to a new intentional interim pastor; we are pleased to share that Pastor Dave Young was affirmed by our congregation on Sunday, January 11th.
Pastor Dave has already spent time with our committee, casting a clear vision regarding “the map”—a result of our comprehensive VCM Assessment. Last Sunday’s Town Hall on February 15th was led primarily by Pastor Dave, who shared this “map” with everyone in attendance. Thank you to those who joined us; we truly appreciate the great turnout. The Lead Pastor Search Committee will hold its next meeting on March 10th. We will be joined via Zoom by our assigned consultant from Vanderbloemen, an executive search firm. As previously mentioned, we have partnered with Vanderbloemen to ensure we cast the widest and most accurate net possible during our search for a new Lead Pastor.
