Questions and Answers
Q. What methods of payment may I use?
A.You can use electronic funds transfer (EFT or echeck) from your checking or savings account. You can also use your debit cards. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards.
Q. Is my account information secure?
A. Yes - you will be securely connected to a website operated by Vanco/eservices which is a Level 1 PCI secure processing center (the highest level of security possible). Century Baptist Church does not store any of your bank account or credit/debit card account information.
Q. Can I make recurring gifts?
A. Yes. You may choose to make a one-time gift or recurring gifts. If you choose recurring gifts you will choose the frequency of the gifts. This feature is especially convenient for anyone who gives the same amount regularly. It is also convenient for those who are traveling on vacation or go south for the winter.
Q. What is the expense of these transactions to the church?
A. We pay a fee of 35 cents per transaction on all transactions. For EFT transactions that’s all we pay. If you choose to use a credit or debit card, we pay an additional 2.75% of the amount of the transaction. As an example if you donated $100.00 using your Visa card, we would pay $3.10 in fees.
Q. When does the church receive the funds donated electronically?
A. The funds are direct deposited into our bank account on the 2nd business day after you make the donation.
Q. Will my electronic donations be recorded in the church contribution records and included in our annual giving statement?
A. Yes – plus you can also check your electronic giving records anytime online. How do we create an online donor account? When you go to the donate page on the website or your mobile device for the first time you will be prompted to answer a few questions which will set-up your account.
Q. Can we use our debit cards to pay for items such as registration fees and Bible study books at Century Baptist?
A. Soon we will have card readers in the church so that you can use your cards to pay for such purchases.
